For twenty years, Yuval Pick has been developing his Practice method with one main aim: to help professional dancers expand their physical and creative potential. Now taught worldwide to professional dancers, as well as young dancers in training, Practice provides tools for developing virtuosity and enriching stage presence.

They testify
"I like the Practice method because it reconnects us with the organic nature of the body (...). For me, this physical practice is a sensitive experience and a philosophical reflection: the method raises awareness of the role of flesh for the skeleton in movement and the taking of space without superficiality. It's as if the difference between the inside and outside of the body no longer exists, the boundaries are dissolved."
Practice, "it's a way of tapping into each individual's bodily capacities, in order to expand [one's] awareness and [one's] artistic potential. I felt involved in every part of my body, in every space and in relation to others. This experience allowed me to be both in a state of play and in a quest to develop my kinesthetic depth."
In three words, Practice offered me "a better approach to my dancing, the feeling of having gone further and a new field of possibilities that I had difficulty reaching on my own."
"I arrive with doubts and a little nervousness. I come out of it completely high and in tune with my body. The fact that I have to explore living notions removes the mental shackles and leaves room for pure sensation, and that's great! Letting go is very welcome. In a few words, Practice enables: "a more conscious, livelier body, with the elasticity of breadcrumbs!"
"The feeling of "(re)dancing really" has returned. I'm talking about feeling your body speak freely of itself, but through a given technique. I really enjoyed the warm-up at the beginning of the class, which pushed me to push my limits and look further into the body's pathways, while disconnecting the mind to make room for the sensation of energy flowing through the whole body, from the center to the extremities, and much more. I really like this mix of sensation, endurance, power, delicacy and physicality in Yuval's dance."
"I felt that Yuval’s method pushed me to look for new possibilities of movement without feeling the pressure of having to do so. The environment he creates it’s a free open space where artists can explore and push their limits, physically and mentally, with no fear of being judged. From experiencing it I could get to know a great sense of flow and continuity, in which there’s a sense of ‘control’, while still being open to mistakes and sudden changes, by letting this control go, at times."
"I got to know a great work for my personal development as a dancer and as a person. I have been looking for a natural way to move for years. In the workshop week, I could feel a constant trust in the movement and I'm sure for me as a dancer and choreographer new to have taken inspiration and ideas."
"Coming from classical dance I have acquired a lot of technique, but it is also important to feel and move along with space and sensations. As the week went by I could feel and notice how my body was transforming that information into freedom, and that is something very important today in a dancer, to move with freedom and organicity (...). I finished the week inspired and with a lot of motivation, I began to understand how my body breathed and managed to reach a plasticity."
